Is powerline still good?
Yes, PowerLine can definitely solve problems. I used a PowerLine kit in my old house and it was a good solution: I needed networking in a remote garage. It gave me a decent and reliable communication channel without stringing up outdoor WiFi access points or pulling a cable/fiber.
